(**) Beautiful Keuka Lake and the surrounding Mennonite and Amish farm country are the focus of this relaxed tour. Wineries and vineyards are plentiful and provide the destination for some great biking rides. The terrain will be mostly gentle, but hilly options are available for the ambitious who want to take in some spectacular views of the lake. If you like machines (like the ones you will be riding), you will be fascinated by our visit to the Glenn H. Curtis museum. The Campbell’s have enjoyed biking this area several times in the past and know the best routes and are unlikely to get you lost The mileage each day will be roughly 30 to 50 miles, but there will be shorter or longer options. These will be day rides (always returning to the start) so no need to carry all your gear..)

August 12 and 13 (Friday and Saturday). We stay these two nights in Penn Yan, NY at the Colonial Motel (315-536-3056). A double is $75. A queen is $95. They have agreed to hold 2 doubles and 4 queens until June 15th for us. So, act quickly. Friday is a travel day with no biking planned, but it’s possible. Great biking starts early Saturday morning..)

If the Colonial Motel fills up, an option is the Viking Resort and Motel (315-536-7061), $80/night. (We don't know about availability.).)

August 14, 15, and 16 (Sunday through Tuesday). We stay in Hammondsport, NY at the Hammondsport Motel (607-569-2600). Note: we stayed here one night on our Finger Lakes Tour a few years ago. Lakeside room rates: $73. Drive-side room rates: $66. (Senior and AAA discounts available) Although weekdays don't fill up as quickly as weekends, it is still a good idea to make reservations now. Wednesday is a travel day, or extend your stay for additional biking.
