COUNTRY ROADS CYCLISTS
Bicycling in West Virginia

We promote the fun of bicycling through group rides, cycling advocacy, new-cyclist encouragement, social events, and the dissemination of safety and skills information. The Club has been active in north central West Virginia since 1979. For rail-trail bicycling and road bike riding in West Virginia and beyond, Country Roads Cyclists is the Club to join!

We welcome adult cyclists and their families (beginners, old pros, casual, or ambitious) for congenial bicycling activities including rides ranging from five miles to multi-day tours. Every year our members enjoy picnics and parties, as well as bicycling throughout the region. We have rides scheduled every Saturday and Sunday from March 1 to October 31. Each September we sponsor a Century Ride (100 miles). We also sometimes offer overnight trips and tours from several days to up to two weeks.

We belong to the League of American Bicyclists,  the Mon River Trails Conservancy, and the North Bend Rails to Trails Foundation. We coordinate our activities with other area bicycling clubs.

Club Members receive our bi-monthly newsletter, bi-monthly ride schedule offering approximately 80 organized rides March-October, plus discounts at local bike shops and a restaurant.
